We all know what it’s like to juggle multiple priorities and “wear many hats.” It’s practically an unstated rule of working in the nonprofit sector. But, few roles in nonprofits face this challenge more so than the outreach coordinator.
Successful outreach coordination takes equal parts marketing skill, communications, being the face of the nonprofit within the community, while also being very organized and maintaining a handle on all that’s going on inside of the office. It’s essentially a balancing act between internal and external relations.
Sharron McDaniel, the Outreach Coordinator for ART180, shines in this role. In this episode, we talk about about how she stays organized, recruits youth to participate in ART180’s many programs, engages the community, and much more!
